Week 11 opened with the highly charged game on Pitch 4 as Bone Soup hosted Lost Boys. A tense opening saw David Taufiq give Lost Boys a 1-0 lead at the break. Continued 2nd half pressure saw Bone Soup equalise thanks to Andrew Tan and a brace from Justin Khing saw them stretch the lead to 3-1.However, Sureshwaran scored for Lost Boys to reduce the deficit before Cody Lim grabbed the Bone’s fourth goal to secure a crucial 4-2 victory which sees Bone Soup pull away in 2nd spot in the league standings.

Over on Pitch 5, Hibernians were hoping to bounce back after 2 losses as they took on Red Indians. Hibs stormed into a 4-0 lead by halftime as Connor registered a hat-trick and Stephen Paul John also on target. The second period brought more goals as both sides showed off their attacking abilities. Connor helped himself to another 5 goals while Billie Mesina also scored. The Red Indians managed to score 4 goals, all of them coming from Prem Kumar. An entertaining game saw Hib run out 10-4 winners.

Our final game of the night featured Balotelitubbies against Russla’s Hustlers. It was the Tubbies who led 2-0 at the break with goals from Toby Blythen and youngster Jason O Toole. However, the Hustlers flipped the tables on their opponents after the break as goals by Sam Ladbury and Charlie Macildowie levelled the scores. Chris Keay then made it 3-2 as the Tubbies regained the lead. But James Lord equalised for Russla’s before Sam Ladbury scored again. Lord then got his 2nd to give Russla’s a 5-3 lead with minutes remaining. The Tubbies were stunned but they capitalised on a defensive error to score through David Calvert. Russla’s hung on the claim the narrow 5-4 win in a hugely entertaining match.

The wins for Hibs and Russla’s saw them both move within 4 points of Balotelitubbies and Lost Boys as the fight for top places continue. We look forward to next week’s matches!
