Unforgiving Leaders Put Red Indians To The Sword

World Cup 2018 has ended but the Arena Futsal League presses on with Matchday 10.

A blistering start by Schlid saw them score 6 in the opening 20mins.

Two goals each for Honda and Anderson while Backx and Stratton were also on target.
In the second half, another avalanche of goals from Honda & Horn (2 each), a hat trick by Anderson, another from Backx and one from Pond saw all Schlid players get on the mark as they romped to a 15-0 win over Red Indians.

Pitch 5 saw a much closer contest as Lost Boys hosted Hibernians.

Lost Boys led 3-2 at half-time with Kalai (1) & David Taufiq (2) scoring while goals from Connor and Gary Corner kept Hibs in the game. In the second half, Simpson levelled the scores before another double strike from David Taufiq saw Lost Boys secure the win to stay in the title hunt.

The 9pm game at Pitch 4 saw Marriedman face Balotelitubbies.

A tense opening saw Balotelitubbies hold a 3-2 lead at half-time thanks to goals from Matt Doyle (2) and youngster Lee Banbury while 2 goals from Riduan on his debut kept Marriedman alive.

The second half saw both teams abandon their defensive duties and go on the offensive.
Lee grabbed another 4 goals and one apiece for Jason and Robbie O’Toole while Marriedman responded with Ahmad (2 goals) and a goal for goalkeeper Yahafiz with debutant Fahmie also on target.
It ended 9-4 in favour of Balotelitubbies who continue their revival to move into 4th place behind Lost Boys on goal difference.

The other game of the night saw Bone Soup entertain Russla’s Hustlers.

Goals from Andrew Tan, Justin Khing (2) and Shaun Teo saw Bone Soup lead 4-2 at the break while a Charlie double strike kept Russla’s in the game. Charlie got his hat trick in the 2nd half and Seb Worthington hit a wonder volley into the top corner but it all proved inconsequential as further goals by Andrew, Justin and Raymond Kwa saw Bone Soup emerge 7-4 winners to stay 2nd in the league.
