Rules and Regulations
‘Organizing Committee’ refers to the management and staff of Arena Football Pte Ltd, Fit Factory Singapore Pte Ltd and its affiliates. 1. Players 1.1. All players must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to take part. 1.2. Each team is allowed to register up to a maximum of twelve (12) players including the Team Captain. At any one time, there can only be a maximum eight (8) players on the pitch with the other players as substitutes on the bench. 1.3. Players with existing professional playing contracts in Singapore or otherwise, are not eligible to play in this tournament. 1.4. Fielding of ineligible players may lead to disqualification of the team from the tournament. 1.5. Long football socks must be worn. No ankle socks are allowed. 1.6. No jewellery to be worn on the field of play, including rings, earrings, necklaces etc. 1.7. All team managers / captains must sign a waiver document releasing the Organizing Committee of all liabilities associated with the tournament. 2. Tournament Format Summary 2.1. 32 teams will be divided into 8 groups of 4. 2.2. Group Stage, Single Round Robin Format, League Point System 2.3. Size 5 Tournament Ball will be used 2.4. Group Stage Round: 25 minutes (no halftime) 2.5. Round of 16, Quarter- Finals, Semi-Finals, Finals: 25 minutes per game (no halftime) 3. Scoring System per game in Group Stage 3.1. 3 Points for a win; 1 Point for a draw; 0 Points for a loss 4. Gameplay 4.1. Minimum number of players to start a match shall be six (6), failing which a walkover shall be awarded to the opponent with a score of 3-0. 4.2. All team members must wear the same team kit including shin pads and numbers on their shirts. 4.3. There will be throw ins, corner kicks and goal kicks. 4.4. There will not be offside rule. 4.5. Goalkeepers are allowed to come out of the penalty area but can only use their hands in their penalty area. 
 5. Substitutions 5.1. A maximum of three (3) substitutions will be allowed per game, including the goalkeeper. 5.2. All players, including goalkeepers, are only allowed to enter play when the substituted player leaves the field of play. 5.3. The referee needs to be informed of the substitution before it takes place. 5.4. All substitutions can only be done when the ball is out of play or when play has stopped. 
 6. Infringements 6.1. If a foul occurs inside the penalty area, either a penalty will be awarded to the attacking team or a free-kick will be awarded to the defending team based on the referee’s decision. 
 6.2. In the event of a penalty, other than the penalty taker and goalkeeper, all players will have to stand outside the penalty box. 6.3. In the event of a direct free-kick, the attacking team can choose to have a wall or take a quick freekick. 
 6.4. In the event of an indirect free-kick, a goal bound shot must be touched by a player for a goal to be counted. 
 6.5. If an indirect free-kick goes directly into an opponent’s goal, a goal kick will be awarded. 
 6.6. The referee will restart the game with a drop ball if the play is stopped by the referee for any reason other than an infringement of the rules of the game. Play restarts when the ball touches the ground. 6.7. Back pass rule applies. 7. Group Stages 7.1. If a group stage game ends in a draw, there will be no penalty kicks to decide the winner. 7.2. If after the group stage ends and the winning position is tied between 2 or more teams, the winner will be determined in the following order: Goals difference > Goals scored > Head to Head 
> Toss of coin 8. Round Of 16, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, 3rd/4th Placing and Final 8.1. The Top Two (2) Teams of each group qualifies for the Round Of 16. 8.2. The winning teams in the Round of 16 then qualify for the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, 3rd/4th Placing and eventually the Finals. 8.3. If a Round Of 16, Quarter-Final, Semi-Final 3rd/4th Placing or Final game ends in a draw, sudden death penalty kicks will determine the winner. 9. Discipline and Referees’ Decisions 9.1. A second yellow card in the same game leads to the player being banned for the following game. 9.2. A straight red card leads the player being banned for the next 2 games. 9.3. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to eject a player/team from the Tournament based on disciplinary grounds. In such cases, no refunds will be given. 9.4. The Referee’s decision is final. 9.5. The Referee is given the authority to send off players, whether they are playing or not playing at that point in time, if he deems them to be abusive and contrary to the right spirit of the game. 9.6. Further abuse may lead to the team being kicked out of the Tournament. 9.7. The Referee may decide to abandon the game and submit a report to the Organizing Committee for a decision at his discretion. The Organizing Committee will then decide on the next course of action. 10. Inclement Weather 10.1 If the field becomes unsuitable for play due to heavy rain or for any other reasons, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to make any changes necessary to the duration of games and format of the tournament without prior consent from the participants. 11. Injuries, Waivers and Disclaimers 11.1. All players agree that they are in good health and do not have conditions that would otherwise disqualify them from taking part in the Tournament. 11.2. Any players with open wounds are required to seek medical attention and are only allowed to play when the bleeding has been stopped. 11.3. Medical coverage and Personal Accident insurance will not be provided at the Tournament. 11.4. The Organizing Committee will take all reasonable precautions, but each player is responsible for his or her personal health and safety upon agreement to participate in this tournament. 11.5. A player/team official involved in fights, abuse of match/tournament officials and/or damaging of Club property may be banned from the Tournament and the Club premises. 11.6. The Organizing Committee will not be held liable for any death, disability, personal injury, loss of property or any other loss howsoever arising from any cause whatsoever at any time during the course of this tournament. 11.7. All players agree to indemnify the Organizing Committee from any third party claims that may result from taking part in the Tournament. 11.8. All players and supporters of this Tournament hereby grant the Organizing Committee permission to use their likeness in any photograph, video, or other digital media in any and all publications, including web-based ones, without payment or other consideration, and all rights to inspect and/or approve the production of such media are irrevocably waived. Additionally, all rights to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the said media are irrevocably waived. 11.9. The Rules and Regulations as depicted are current at the time of printing. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to add, delete and/or change the said Rules and Regulations as they deem necessary without prior notice.
